Building on its high performance carpet cleaning and maintenance brand, and meeting the demand from consumers for environmentally friendly products that work, Spot Shot launched its latest trigger products in May.

Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain and Odor Eliminator and Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain and Odor Eliminator Pet, are non-toxic, certified biodegradable by the Scientific Certification System and environmentally friendly – containing no volatile organic compounds or phosphates – while still delivering the superior efficacy consumers have come to expect from Spot Shot.

The powerful new products recently received the Seal of Approval from the Carpet and Rug Institute for product performance, and consumers say they would use Spot Shot trigger products instead of and more often than their current brands.

"The adjustments we’ve made to Spot Shot show that we listen to our consumers and respond to what they tell us," said Garry Ridge, president and CEO for WD-40 Company, makers of Spot Shot. "This new product gives our consumers the best of both worlds - they want powerful but environmentally safe products, and that’s what we’re delivering."

Spot Shot permanently eliminates new and old stains, neutralizes odors with dual odor eliminators and incorporates anti-resoiling agents to help prevent stains from returning, the company said. Also available is new Spot Shot Pet, formulated specifically for the safe, permanent removal of the most difficult pet stains and odors. Non-toxic and environmentally friendly, Spot Shot Pet is safe for use around pets and kids.
