The University of Maryland recently completed a 2-year study comparing Sporicidin disinfectants and household bleach, according to Sporacidin. The study "concluded that Sporicidin is more effective than household bleach in controlling mold fungi on commonly used building materials and on drywall," the company said.

Sporicidin disinfectants are EPA-registered for mold remediation, carpet decontamination and odor control, and air duct cleaning, the company said.
