Nearly 3,800 people in North Carolina, and more than 300 in the Triad, have received certification from the Green Building Certification Institute for their knowledge of environmentally friendly building construction and operation. While the vast majority of these individuals are architects or in construction management, there are some people in other lines of work - from lawyers to custodial service providers - who believe this knowledge will give them an edge as businesses focus more on sustainability.
