Carpet cleaning symposium readied for April.

The Textile Cleaners of America (TCA) will present the industry's first commercial carpet cleaning symposium on April 4-5 at the Omni Hotel in Broomfield, Colo. ICS Cleaning Specialist and Commercial Floor Care magazines will sponsor the event.

According to TCA, the symposium will cater to both experienced and fledgling commercial cleaning companies. The event features presentations on inspections, the new IICRC carpet cleaning standard S100, niche marketing, commercial add-ons, commercial pricing and developing marketing materials.

Featured speakers include Barry Costa, Carey Mitchell, Jeff Bishop, Aaron Grosclose, and Dane Gregory. The symposium offers two IICRC-CEC credits for continuing education.

A portion of the proceeds from the symposium will sponsor Barry Costa in the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon on June 2 to help fight leukemia and related cancers.

The deadline for registration is March 15, although TCA will accept late registration for an increased cost. Two-day registration includes breakfasts, lunches, handouts, materials, all sessions and the closing reception. For more information or to register, call (888) 990-9952.
