Cypress, Calif. (PRNewswire) -- UGS, a supplier of collaborative product development solutions for manufacturers, has entered into a software and services contract with Tennant Company, a manufacturer of floor cleaning machines, parts and accessories.

The decision to replace its existing CAD software -- from one of UGS' primary competitors -- with Unigraphics followed a comprehensive evaluation of leading CAD suppliers. Tennant made the selection based on UGS' industry leadership, its innovative technology and the company's proven track record of forming long-term global business partnerships with its customers. Another determining factor was UGS' ability to assist Tennant in achieving its business goal of becoming the preeminent company in the nonresidential floor maintenance equipment industry.

Tennant is a manufacturer of nonresidential floor maintenance and outdoor cleaning equipment, floor coatings and related offerings. Its products include scrubbers, sweepers, extractors, buffers and other specialized floor cleaning equipment and supplies, plus a complete line of industrial floor coatings.
