Denver, Colorado. – November 17, 2009 – Textile Consultants and the Academy of Textiles and Flooring are working together in the development of a one day symposium, Inspections 2010, for carpet inspectors. The Symposium will be held one day prior to Surfaces in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 1.

“We are working hard to continue the great work that Carl Williams did for the carpet inspection industry for over 2 decades,” said Larry Cooper of Textile Consultants. “We are working closely with Bobbie Williams, Carl’s wife and partner, to continue to produce an outstanding program for the inspection industry.

This one day symposium is designed to give anyone involved in the carpet inspection industry an opportunity to update their background knowledge, learn some of the new techniques and hear the latest information available. Our instructors are very well known in the industry and all continue to strive to bring excellence to the floor covering trade, through education and sharing of information.

Attending the symposium will give attendees one IICRC CEC credit, for inspectors or cleaners. We have made arrangements with the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel for special room rates of $89 per night and you can extend your stay throughout the Surfaces show.

The symposium features the top presenters and leaders in the carpet inspection industry. Our hosts include Bobbie Williams, Academy of Textiles and Flooring, and Larry Cooper, Textile Consultants, an inspector with 30 years experience, the producer and organizer of the Connections Events and he is the IICRC Standards Consultant. Our Instructors include: Lew Migliori, LGM and Associates; Jimmy Walker, CFI; Daniel Bernazzani, PhD Candidate, Liberty Consulting, and Robert Varden, Seam Master Industries. Also, there will be short presentations from Barry Costa, Vice Chairman of the IICRC S600 Carpet Installation Standard, Evan Kessler, publisher, ICS Cleaning Specialist Magazine, and Tom Hill, Executive Administrator of the IICRC.

For over two decades Carl Williams of ATF brought educational opportunities to the inspection industry. We will mark his passing during a lunchtime Memoriam presented by his friend and business partner Michael West. There will be a few minutes available to share some of your favorite Carl stories.

Registration for the Carpet Inspector Symposium is now open. Call 303-469-0306 x104 to register or go to www.floorcoveringinspectorssymposium.com for the full program and register online.
