BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (March 22, 2007) – Unger has won the innovation award in the best hand tools category at the Cleaning Show 2007 in Birmingham, United Kingdom, for its new HiFlo Carbon Tec Water Fed Pole. The win represents the second in a row for Unger, who had also won the award at the last show in 2005 with the ErgoTec LockingCone.

The HiFlo CarbonTec revolutionizes pure water, high-level window cleaning with its "any position" Waterfeed Assembly. This unique feature includes an on/off flow control connector to make cleaning high areas from the ground a safe, practical alternative.

This lightweight modular system is made with precision engineered components including HS Carbon Tubes with glass layers which are available in two different lengths allowing users to build the length they want – up to 50 feet. With its unique connectors for fast assembly and an internal water feed, the HiFlo CarbonTec can provide valuable time savings for window cleaners and allows them the flexibility to move freely at ground level while cleaning much larger areas of glazing.

Speaking at the event, Unger's new UK General Manager John Sobucinski said: "We are delighted to have won the award and everybody here at Unger really deserves the recognition. It is a true testament to our product development team that Unger is the only company to have won an innovation award twice in a row."
