Toronto, Canada -- Unilever Canada has entered into an agreement with Prommel Inc. to sell the assets of its UBA business, an intermediate bulk chemical distributor. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Unilever said it expected the transaction to be completed by the end of January 2001.

UBA is a division of Unilever’s DiverseyLever business that employs approximately 30 people at offices in Mississauga, Ontario and Candiac, Quebec.

As part of the agreement, all employees will be transferred to Prommel Inc.

Unilever's DiverseyLever business is a provider of cleaning and hygiene solutions for the professional user. Well-known brands include Taski and LeverSelect.
