Warne tabbed to lead ASCR

William A. Warne has been tabbed as the new president of the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- The Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR) has named William A. Warne, CR, its next president, succeeding Immediate Past President Cliff Zlotnik in the organization's leadership position.

Warne was selected during the association's 57th Annual Convention and Exhibition convention, held Feb. 12-16 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, Calif. The gavel was officially passed from Zlotnik to Warne on Feb. 16, making the transition official.

Also installed during ASCR's annual meeting were Timothy Horrigan, of Boston, Mass., as vice president Education and chairman of the ASCR Foundation; Joe Arrigo, Pueblo, Colo., re-elected association treasurer; and Bryan O'Haleck, Seattle, Wash., treasurer.

Named to the ASCR Board of Directors were new board members Brian Spiegel, of Los Angeles, who also will chair the Membership Committee; Jim Pearson, Billings, Montana; Gary Dooner, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Rusty Amarante, Philadelphia, Penn., who also will serve as an ASCR Foundation Trustee.

The Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (www.ascr.org) is a professional association comprised of more than 1,300 member organizations world-wide, representing over 20,000 cleaning and restoration professionals who specialize in the cleaning, treatment and repair of damaged buildings and their contents.
