Hello family and friends! We did it! We ran the 26.2 mile Walt Disney World Marathon!
These pictures are just to prove to you that we meant what we said. We came, we saw, and we kicked its tail. To all of you that supported us with your money, your prayers, and your encouragement, thank you! Between Barry, Emily, and myself, we raised around $25,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to use to fight cancer.
That’s what this is really all about—helping to make sure no more children have to die from these blood-related diseases.
The entire Team in Training team at the Disney Marathon came from all over the country and raised more than seven million dollars toward the cause. The Team in Training total for all of 2000 (lots of runners in many marathons) was more than 70 million dollars! We are making a difference...the cure is only 26.2 miles away.
