Patti Savelle is a second-generation cleaner/restorer, having purchased her father’s firm in the mid 70s and operated it until her retirement in 2010. She is an IICRC Certified Master Textile Cleaner, and the industry’s first female Master Restoration Technician. She remains active in the industry, currently serving as Treasurer of the Society of Cleaning and Restoration Technicians or SCRT.

held a “Restoration Technology and Diversification Symposium” hosted by The
Cleaner’s Coach at Truckmounts & Cleaning Solutions in Norcross, Ga.
Fifty-two cleaners and restorers attended.
In 2010 the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the SCRT, under the direction of Tom Sherman, held a special "research" event called "The Commercial Carpet Cleaning Conundrum" led by IICRC-approved instructor Mark Violand. The findings and conclusions were presented at the Feb. 23 chapter meeting.
