Connections in Las Vegas turned out to be an awesome event and, as usual, the SCRT had a strong presence there.

From our president, Gary Glenn: Connections in Las Vegas has come and gone again. The show was very well attended, and all the vendors were once again very supportive of Connections Events.

More than 40 cleaning and restoration professionals attended the annual membership meeting of the Society of Cleaning and Restoration Technicians on Thursday, April 14 during the Connections Conference and Exhibition in Clearwater, Fla.

The Georgia Chapter of SCRT held a “Restoration Technology and Diversification Symposium” hosted by The Cleaner’s Coach at Truckmounts & Cleaning Solutions in Norcross, Ga. Fifty-two cleaners and restorers attended. 

In 2010 the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the SCRT, under the direction of Tom Sherman, held a special "research" event called "The Commercial Carpet Cleaning Conundrum" led by IICRC-approved instructor Mark Violand. The findings and conclusions were presented at the Feb. 23 chapter meeting.

Bedbugs are the subject de jour in many municipalities, businesses and homes. Recently, the Society of Cleaning and Restoration Technicians began received a number of questions about bedbugs.
