Just as many areas of the country start witnessing growth with the change to warmer weather, the IICRC is also seeing growth with the implementation of our new marketing and resource development programs.

Conferences and trade shows continue to play an important role in our industry. Even as it becomes easier to connect digitally, something magical happens when we are all in a room face-to-face.

The IICRC Board of Directors held its second-annual strategic planning meeting, in conjunction with the Surfaces trade show and our winter board meeting, in January.

In March 2012, the IICRC Board of Directors reinstated the IICRC name to the organization and chose the cleantrust as the organization’s service mark.

It’s the beginning of the IICRC’s 41st year and I’m humbled by that achievement and marketplace acceptance.

In October, I had the privilege of attending the IICRC’s Certification Council, shareholders and Board of Directors meetings in Vancouver, WA.
