Texas, DKI and Sunsets: News and Views from The Experience Conference & Exhibition

There's plenty of newsworthy things to report on. Oh, and pictures of sunsets, too.

April 22, 2013

The inaugural Experience Conference & Exhibition was held from April 17-20 at the Hilton in Clearwater Beach, FL. The three-day event was packed with news, hands-on demonstrations and important info. Let's begin:

Hey, we promised sunsets in this blog's title, didn't we? OK, now on to some newsworthy items, as they were announced by The Experience organizer and ICRA manager Larry Cooper during his welcome speech:

Specifically, next year's Experience Conference & Exhibition will take place in Frisco, TX. And here's the official press release on the partnership formed between Disaster Kleenup International, ICRA and The Experience. Finally, a cleaning competition took place on Friday where cleaners worked in pairs to clean an area of carpet as best as they can. And as you can see from this photo, one of them had to be blindfolded. Guess those who participated can now actually say they're good enough to do the job with their eyes closed!

We should also mention that we will be posting video of industry icons Dan Bernazzani and Barry Costa fumbling their way through this competition soon - you don't want to miss that.

Before we depart, we also need to make mention of a special meeting that was held following The Experience show to mobilize support to fight Florida House Bill 909. Our sister magazine, Restoration & Remediation has more info on that here. Last but not least, here's the ICS photo gallery from the event.

See ya'll next year in Texas.
